Well friends, I've returned again, and wow has it been a busy couple of weeks. On June 8th I left for the National Championship with my mom, and it was....one of the best weeks of my life. I competed in Impromptu, Apologetics, and Illustrated Oratory. I finished 10th in the nation in Apologetics, and broke to quarter finals in Illustrated Oratory. The competition itself was fabulous, and I enjoyed getting to watch some of the best homeschool speakers in the nation. I watched many Lincoln-Douglas debates and a few Team Policy debates. Debaters never cease to amaze me with their articulate questions and quick thinking.
I was so incredibly blessed by the people at Nationals. Some of my best friends were there to support me and spend time with me, and it was so much fun to get to know people from all across the nation. I developed new friendships, strengthened acquaintances, and learned so much. I have so many sweet memories and funny moments to remember, so many smiles and laughs that were shared. If someone asked me what my favorite part was, I wouldn't know where to begin! My mom was able to grab a few pictures of me and some of my friends throughout the week, and I'd love to share them.
