<<< Some days.....You just wanna be a pet chicken relaxing on the patio, soaking up the camaraderie and sunshine. ;-)
Over the last month, my life has been a roller coaster of events, occasions, and delightful moments. And though there have been moments of frustration, defeat, and exhaustion, for the most part, I find myself overwhelmingly happy and content. Since worldview camp I feel as though my relationship with the Lord has grown stronger, though once again I find myself struggling to make a daily habit of Bible study and quiet time with God in His Word. Nevertheless there have been successes! The truth of my own depravity and hopelessness apart from the grace of Christ never far from my mind. I have been so richly blessed with the godly parents that I have, and though I've given them a pretty hard job, I am so thankful that they continue to push me to the fullest of my potential, both in my studies and hobbies, but also and more importantly in my spiritual walk. Then there's my family, filling my days with laughter and precious moments that fly by so quickly. And oh how often I miss the opportunities to bless my siblings with love and attention, instead falling to quick negative remarks that so easily fly off my tongue. And finally my friends. Whether its a call or chat at night when I'm feeling sad, spending a day together goofing off, or an activity involving the whole family, I'm realizing what qualities make a lasting relationship, all the while having a blast.
I knew I would ramble about all sorts of things, and am now very glad I titled the post "happenings".
I don't know about you, but I LOVE pictures. Flipping through scrapbooks, filing through past memories just warms my heart and never fails to make me smile. Whenever I upload the latest pictures from the camera onto the computer I always get the urge to blog and to share the feelings I've experienced.
That said........well......here come the pictures! ;-) I hope they bring a smile to your face.
As always, all honor and praise be to God! May His blessings rain down upon you as you fight the good fight!

My Mom putting her amazing coaching and writing skills to work in a week long writing camp she held in the mornings for some other homeschooled friends. The students learned techniques for stories, expanded their vocabulary, and had a great time sharing their ideas and putting together numerous creative writing pieces.
Allyson at her annual horse camp! She volunteered during the normal season at the therapeutic lessons, as well as serving with another camp. Allyson is growing in her love for horses and her knowledge of the animals, as well as in her riding skills. She's super excited to be taking official riding lessons this fall as well as continuing to volunteer at the ranch.
